And you thought it was over.

Yes, Boston’s cartoonish winter could see more snow Sunday. The National Weather Service’s forecast is calling for 4-6 inches of accumulation for the city of Boston and eastern Massachusetts. Parts of Merrimack Valley to see three to four inches, while parts of southeastern Mass may get eight inches.

The snow is likely to start to fall after 5 p.m. Sunday but before 2 a.m. Monday. Temperatures are expected to remain in the 20s, according to the National Weather Service. Winds will be between 5 and 7 miles per hour.

This winter – the harshest in recent memory — has dumped more than seven-and-a-half feet of snow on Boston in about a month’s time.
