Mandy McGowan pulled a hood over her face Monday as she stood in Lawrence District Court to face child endangerment charges.

A viral video in September that showed theNew Hampshire mother, 36, unconscious from an apparent drug overdose and on the floor of a Family Dollar store in Lawrence prompted the charges.

In the video, McGowan’s 2-year-old daughter can be seen crying, tugging at her hand as some bystanders recorded the scene on their phones.

McGowan was revived with two doses of Narcan, anopioidantidote, WHDH reported.

The child was taken into state custody.

McGowan surrendered to authorities, and appeared in the Lawrence courtroom Monday, days after she failed to appear for a hearing on child endangerment charges,WCVB reported.

McGowan’slawyertold the court she was 67 days sober.

“This is a young lady, judge, who obviously has an issue,” her lawyer, James Klotz said in court. “She is dealing with that issue. She has done everything the Department of Children and Family Services in New Hampshire has asked her to do.”

A judge released McGowan on her own recognizance. She is required to remain in a treatment program with random screenings for drugs and alcohol.
