Finally, some legitimacy to our longstandingclaims that the Celtics still like Cal swingman Jaylen Brown. We’ve been on this horse for months but in most every other mock Dragan Bender, Buddy Hield and Kris Dunn are the contenders for slot No. 3.

Brown had an “excellent” workout in front of the Celtics, according to Boston boss Danny Ainge. It’s rare that Ainge throws around those types of adjectives but then again it’s already rare that Ainge (or any GM worth their salt) tells the truth this time of year.

Of course, the Celtics could slide back a bit and still get Brown if he’s the guy they truly like.

Most of the mock stays the same from last week, particularly at the top, but things are nonetheless interesting regarding those teams. The big trade rumor to watch right now is the one involving the Sixers and Hawks. If Philly trades Nerlens Noelfor point guard Jeff Teague then that means that Jahlil Okafor is likely staying put. Okaforhasoften been mentioned as the main name in a Celtics – Sixers swap at No. 3. Boston has a boatload of quality guards and the Sixers could take Providence point guard Kris Dunn at that spot.
