High school football coach calls Michelle Obama fat

There are many words one can use to describe First Lady Michelle Obama. Ambitious, funny, powerful, caring, and classy are all suitable adjectives. The one thing you can’t call her is fat.

Let’s make this clear before we move on: Michelle Obama is not fat. Not even close.

Lauderdale County High School driver’s ed teacher and football coach Bob Grisham thinks otherwise.

When asked by his students who was behind their new 600-calorie lunches he responded: “Fat butt Michelle Obama. Look at her. She looks like she weights 185 or 190 pounds. She’s overweight.”

Michelle Obama is fit. She works out. A quick Google image search will reveal many photos of her dancing and even hula hooping. She even started ‘Let’s Move’ to get kids, well, moving. For the sake of women everywhere, look at her arms! If someone with defined biceps like Michelle Obama is considered fat, then the rest of us are all doomed.

Grisham’s comments shouldn’t be taken too seriously since not only does he think the FLOTUS is fat, but he’s also super homophobic.

Later in the tape, Grisham referred to the U.S. as going in the “wrong direction” and tells the students they can “get pissed off at me or not. You can go tell the principal, call the superintendent and tell her. I don’t believe in queers. I don’t like queers, I don’t hate them as a person, but what they do is wrong and an abomination against God.” The tape was reportedly recorded by a student Monday and took place on school campus during the school day.

After Grisham’s comments went public, he is now saying he “misspoke” in a “debate-type situation.”

“I have no hatred toward anyone or any group. People that know my heart, they know that,” he said.

Grisham was suspended on Monday.
