He may be a hit on YouTube, but police in Brockton aren’t fans of nine-year-old rapper “Lil Poopy” – or his dad.

The city’s police department is filing child abuse and neglect complaints after an article in the Brockton Enterprise about the fourth grader, whose real name is Luie Rivera Jr. It included descriptions of the boy’s R-rated lyrics, and of videos featuring the child partying in nightclubs.

“Adults in a crowd cheer the 9-year-old on as he is in a simulated sex situation with a female on a dance floor,” the newspaper reported. “People throw dollar bills at the child. A man can be seen telling the fourth-grader to slap the female, who is bent over, on the buttocks. She then gyrates against Rivera, and lifts the boy’s shirt.”

“It’s a bit much for a 9-year-old,” Brockton police Lt. David Dickinson told the Enterprise. “It warrants the attention of the Department of Children and Families.” The report filed with DCF allows the state agency to investigate alleged abuse or neglect of a child.

After learning of the complaint, Luis Rivera told the Enterprise his son is just “acting,” comparing the behavior to celebrations in sports.

“When you hit a home run, when you go to the bleachers, they tap you on the butt,” Rivera said. “He’s not doing anything wrong.” However, Rivera said he planned to contact a lawyer.
