Suspect jumps 50 feet down onto Chester train tracks
Police in Delaware County are searching for a car theft suspect they say jumped 50 feet down onto CSX railroad tracks in Chester early Tuesday morning.
The vehicle pursuit ended at Interstate 95 and Kerlin Street, 6ABC Action News reports. That’s when the suspect reportedly jumped down onto the railroad tracks to elude approaching police officers.
Police reported seeing the suspect limping down the railroad tracks toward Crozer Park, and were searching area hospitals for the apparently injured man.
The vehicle pursuit began about 5 a.m. after police spotted the stolen vehicle heading south on I-95, near Route 322.
