Man’s body pulled from Charles River in Cambridge
The body of a man who was pulled from the Charles River on Wednesday morning is not that of a missing Brown University student, although the age and identity of the deceased have not been established, according to police.
Massachusetts State Police removed the body around 8 a.m., after a Boston University rowing coach spotted it in the water near Harvard Bridge, according to the Suffolk District Attorney’s Office.
“The cause and manner of his death likewise was not immediately apparent and will be determined by the office of the chief medical examiner,” said Jake Wark, a Suffolk DA spokesman.
State Police said an autopsy is scheduled for later this week.
