Police are looking for an angry customer upset about a previous purchase who was caught on surveillance camera Sunday night assaulting an employee of the Beer Heaven craft beer shop in South Philadelphia.

Police said an unknown male entered the store in the strip mall on the 1100 block of South Columbus Boulevard around 7:30 p.m. and became involved in a dispute with a 43-year-old employee.

The man’s female companion can be seen on video grabbing him by the shirt and pulling him out of the store.

He rushed back in and continued the tirade, kicking the employee and pulling out a handgun, according to police.

The suspect can at one point in the video be seen hoisting the employee up onto his shoulders, then slamming him to the ground.

He allegedly threw a beer bottle at the man before fleeing with his partner through the strip mall.

The suspect is described as a 300-pound black male between 6 feet 3 inches and 6 feet 5 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a blue and gray Dallas Cowboys jacket, dark pants and a white polo shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911, to contact the South Detective Division at 215-686-3013 or 3014 or to submit an anonymous tip by dialing 215-686-TIPS (8477), texting PPD TIP (773847), emailing tips@phillypolice.com or by filling out this online form.
