Police shoot, kill man after taxi fare dispute
Police shot and killed a man who allegedly pulled a gun on officers following a dispute with a taxi driver over his fare in Northeast Philadelphia on Sunday night.
The fatal, police-involved shooting occurred about 8:30 p.m. on the 1600 block of Arrott Street in the city’s Frankford section, CBS Philly reported.
Philadelphia police said officers fired on the man after he pulled a gun while running from the area.
A taxi driver reportedly called over police who were patrolling the area to get them to help him collect a fare. That’s when the man attempted to run away and pulled the gun, according to police.
