CBS Houston asks if OKC cheerleader is ‘too chunky’ to cheer

Cheerleading is a tough sport that requires strength, flexibility and a lot of hard work. Judging from these photos, these girls have amazing bodies. All of them.

Earlier this week, CBS Houston published an article questioning one cheerleader’s weight. The article, published with no byline, asked whether an Oklahoma City Thunder cheerleader was “too chunky” to cheer on the team.

“The Rockets looked terrible in Game 1, but some say they weren’t the only bad-looking people on the court,” read the article. It was later revealed that the person who wrote it was Claire Crawford, according to Gawker. “We’re not trying to be ugly. We are just discussing what men like in women, specifically NBA cheerleaders.”

Crawford went on to give the worst band handed compliment in the world.

“This pretty blonde has been criticized by some folks in OKC for having “pudginess” around her waistline. But if she’s comfortable wearing that tiny outfit and dancing for NBA fans, then good for her.”

It seems like Crawford’s Twitter account has been suspended and the article possibly pulled as all links to the article are redirected to CBS Houston sports page. That didn’t stop Busted Coverage from grabbing a screen shot of one of the most outrageous lines of the post.

“Either way, I wish she had a little more up on top, if you know what I mean.”

So not only does CBS Houston think this woman should hit the gym, they also think she should visit a plastic surgeon.

If a super-athletic, hot, blonde is called “pudgy” then the rest of us don’t stand a chance.
