Back to Back Bay: ONEin3, HubSpot try to draw business back to Boylston Street

In an effort to bolster Boylston Street business, two Boston organizations aimed at the younger generation has put together a Tuesday night group outing called “Back to Back Bay.”

ONEin3 Boston and HubSpot have joined forces to coax the 21-24 demographic back to the Back Bay neighborhood that only two weeks ago was shaken and shut off due to the Boston Marathon Bombings. All are welcome to the public event, which kicks off at 5:30 p.m. at The Back Bay Social Club.

According to organizers, the event will help support Boylston Street’s restaurants and shops, which lost business during an 8-day long shut down.

“Many of the restaurants and bars in the area are frequented by our demographic, so council members felt really strong about helping the establishments get back on their feet,” said Chloe Ryan of ONEin3 Boston. “In addition, many of the employees of these shops are between the ages of 20 and 34 as well.  It’s amazing how this group of young adults have taken initiative and ownership in helping this area of Boylston heal.  It goes against the stereotype that we don’t care about our neighborhood.”

The event is hashtagged on Twitter as #BacktoBackBay, and more information is available on the event’s Facebook page.
