Philadelphia police have released surveillance video of two men robbing a Northeast Philadelphia pharmacy Sunday, allegedly by disabling the store alarm system and using a police scanner to flee before officers arrived.

Investigators said two unknown white men in a red Jeep were caught on camera around 10:30 p.m. forcing open the rear door of the Delaire Pharmacy at 9456 State Road.

Once inside, the two men were foiled by an interior gate.

Police said the men then drove around the pharmacy and pried open the front door.

One suspect allegedly disarmed the store alarm system and stole numerous pills.

Police said the second suspect stayed inside the car and monitored a police scanner from inside the vehicle.

When the man heard on the radio that police were en route, he allegedly got out of the car, opened the front door of the pharmacy and alerted the second suspect.

Both men then fled north on State Road, according to authorities.

The suspects are described as white males wearing dark hooded sweatshirts.

The first suspect had a stocky build and was last seen wearing a black baseball hat and black shorts.

The second suspect was last seen wearing dark pants.

The vehicle used in the crime is described as a red 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee with factory spoke wheels.
