Police seek public’s help finding hit-and-run vehicle
Philadelphia police are seeking the public’s help locating a vehicle involved in a bizarre hit-and-run accident in Kensington early Monday.
Police say a blue Chrysler 300 limo-type taxicab with a license plate containing “LM” struck a 40-year-old man who, for some reason, was laying down in the street at the intersection of East Ontario and E streets about 3:40 a.m. Monday. The taxi driver did not stop, dragging the victim about a block down Ontario before fleeing the area.
The taxi has silver trim lining its windows and a cage separating the front and back seats, police said.
The victim is in critical condition at Temple University Hospital with head injuries.
Police ask anyone with information about the car to contact the Accident Investigation Division at 215-685-3180 or 215-685-3181.
