A dispute over a photo booth at a Germantown banquet hall early Saturday morning ended in a knife fight that left two men injured, according to police.

Investigators said the men were around 1:30 a.m. attending a party at Temptations Banquet Facility, located at 220 W. Chelten Ave.

A partygoer, 48, was getting pictures printed from a photo booth as a security officer, 52, was telling the photographer to close up for the night, touching off a verbal dispute between the two men.

The security officer allegedly pushed the 48-year-old during a brief physical altercation.

Police said security guard walked away after the fight calmed but returned about two minutes later armed with a knife.

He allegedly began to swing the knife at the other man, stabbing him once in the stomach.

The two men continued to fight until the knife fell from the security guard’s hands and he was rendered unconscious, according to authorities.

Arriving officers recovered the knife and took both men to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where the 48-year-old man as treated and released and the security guard remained in stable condition Sunday.
