Police arrest alleged Philadelphia serial bank robber
The U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force has arrested a man wanted for a rash of bank robberies in Philadelphia, the latest of which happened on Monday.
Carl Goodwin, 27, of Philadelphia, was arrested in Reading on Wednesday, the U.S. Marshals Service announced.
Goodwin, who fled from a federal halfway house about a month ago, was wanted for five bank robberies in the city and a hold-up of the Dunkin’ Donuts at 3705 Germantown Ave.
Goodwin is accused of robbing the following banks:
- Well Fargo Bank, 861 East Allegheny Ave., July 8;
- Citizens Bank, 6324 Stenton Ave., July 2 and June 20;
- Beneficial Bank, 5301 Chew Ave., June 24;
- Bank of America, 3745 Aramingo Ave., June 21;
