Two injured, including girl, 11, in Delaware County gunfire
Two people were injured by gunfire in what is being described as an ambush in East Lansdowne Thursday night.
The victims in the double shooting are a 25-year-old man and an 11-year-old girl, the Delaware County Times reports.
The male victim was shot in his leg, the girl in her leg and stomach, the paper reports. They were treated and released from an area hospital by this morning.
No arrests have been made.
Police say the gunman opened fire on a group of people on a crowded street corner on the first block of Beverly Avenue about 11:20 p.m. The man may have been hiding in bushes waiting for the group to cross the street before firing at least gunshots into the crowd, police told the paper.
