Tsarnaev buddies due in federal court today
Two friends of the surviving alleged Boston Marathon bomber are due in federal court Tuesday afternoon after they were indicted last week for obstruction of justice.
Azamat Tazhayakov and Dias Kadyrbayev, both 19, are due for arraignment at the Moakley courthouse in South Boston.
The teens, who met Tsarnaev while attending UMass Dartmouth, are accused of discarding items allegedly related to bomb-making that were in Tsarnaev’s room.
Tazhayakov and Kadyrbayev were previously charged in a criminal complaint May 1.
Tsarnaev and his brother, Tamerlan, are accused of setting off a pair of bombs on Boylston Street April 15 that killed three people and injured more than 260 others along the Boston Marathon route.
