VIDEO: Suspect uses fire extinguisher to rob Tioga BP station

Philadelphia police are seeking three suspects who used a fire extinguisher to rob the BP gas station at 2200 W. Allegheny Ave. in Tioga on Tuesday.

The crime happened about 12:25 a.m., according to police.

The three suspects entered the store together, with a female suspect standing near the door, presumably as a lookout. One of the two male suspects then doused a store clerk with a fire extinguisher. He and the other male proceeded to steal items from the store’s shelves, then all three suspects fled the store.

Philadelphia Police Department posted video of the crime to YouTube on Wednesday.

The suspect who used the fire extinguisher is described as a black male, 16 to 20 years old and 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was wearing a black backpack that contained the fire extinguisher, a black wool hat, a white T-shirt and red shorts.

Police described the second male suspect as black, 16 to 20 years old and 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall. He was wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.

The female suspect is described as black, 16 to 20 years old and 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall. She was wearing a black shirt and purple shorts.

Police urge anyone with information about the suspects to call Northwest Detectives Division at 215-686-3053/3054.
