Two female attendees of the Budweiser Made in America festival on Philadelphia’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway reported being sexually assaulted during separate incidents near the two-day concert, according to police.

Investigators said one woman, 24, said she at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday flagged down what she believed to be a taxi on the 2200 block of Spring Garden Street, several blocks away from the concert. When she got inside the car, a man in the backseat allegedly sexually assaulted her.

Authorities said the assailant and the car’s driver took $41 in cash from the woman, then forced her out of the vehicle at 10th and Catherine streets in South Philadelphia, where she called police.

The suspects are described as two black males in their late teens to early 20s.

A second woman, 22, reported being sexually assaulted near the festival shortly after midnight Sunday.

The victim told police she met a man at the concert and asked to use his cell phone. Investigators said the man told the woman she could use his house phone instead because he lived nearby.

The woman went with the man to his home on the 2000 block of Arch Street, where inside he allegedly sexually assaulted her.

The victim was then able to run out of the house and call police, who arrested the suspect.

He was on Sunday identified as Ankara Demir, 26.

Demir was arraigned Sunday evening and bail was set at 10 percent of $175,000.

He is charged with rape, sexual assault, unlawful restraint, simple assault, false imprisonment and reckless endangerment.

Demir is next due in court Sept. 19 for a preliminary hearing.
