Boston police issued a violation to an MIT fraternity on Thursday after a teen fell through a skylight at the group’s Commonwealth Avenue home.

Police said they issued a license premise violation to the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity.

The violation includes charges of a person injured on the premises, keeper of alcohol and an unlicensed roof deck.

Officers were called to 487 Commonwealth Ave. at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday for a report of an injured person. When they got there they found that an 18-year-old man had fallen through a rooftop skylight and landed on his back four stories below.

Police said a witness told officers that the teen was jumping up and down on the plastic glass skylight before he fell.

The teen was taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

An email message seeking comment from the fraternity was not immediately returned.
