A Framingham family was tied up and bound with zip-ties during an armed home invasion on Sunday evening.

The incident took place about 8:45 pm on Beacon Street in Framingham. Five or six men forced their way into the home, where three children and their parents live. Armed with guns, the men demanded a safe be opened by the father while the rest of the family was bound with zip-ties.

Nobody was injured during the invasion, Framingham police Lt. Ron Brandolini told the MetroWest Daily News.

Framingham police combed the area with police dogs. According to the Framingham Patch, the search continued throughout the evening.

The Boston Globe spoke with the family’s landlord, who said they are shaken up but grateful to be safe. The landlord added that the victims told him the armed men spoke Spanish and English.

The criminals are described as Hispanic or black males. Anyone who has information about the incident is asked to contact the Framingham Police Department at 508-532-5923.
