Goldman Sachs managing director Jason Lee was released on bail Friday after pleading not guilty to charges he raped a woman at his East Hampton getaway last month.

Jason Lee was charged with first-degree rape, along with several lesser misdemeanor charges, on his 37th birthday after a 20-year-old women accused him of assaulting her. Lee met the woman at a nightclub and invited her to his rental property along with her friends, Bloomberg reports. The alleged rape took place at about 4 a.m. in a bathroom at the house.

Lee was freed on $100,000 cash bail after denying the charges before Suffolk County Judge Barbara Kahn in Riverhead, New York. He was accompanied by his wife.

Lee’s attorney, Edward Burke Jr., said his client was “adamant that he did not do this, adamant that he did not perform these serious allegations upon this complainant at all.”

First-degree rape carries a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison.

Goldman Sachs has placed Lee on leave. Lee has been with the investment firm since 1998.
