It was mayhem on the University of Massachusetts Amherst campus late Wednesday night after the Boston Red Sox won the World Series.

Police estimate there were 15 people arrested post-game, 14 of whom were students, WCVB reports. The students were largely gathered on the southwest residential area of campus.

The university made several statements in an attempt to prevent students from being destructive.

“Your actions tonight have consequences. If you engage in reckless crowd behavior, you will be arrested,” the university tweeted Wednesday night. ”Breaking trees and engaging in destructive behavior will get you arrested. Think before you jeopardize your future,” the school said in another tweet.

Despite rumors, the school adamantly denied that there were any extreme measures taken to control the crowd.

“There has been no tear gas deployed at UMass Amherst. There are no rubber bullets in use. Reports stating otherwise are false. … Smoke and pepper balls were used. No tear gas. No rubber bullets. Reports stating otherwise are false.”

Some students caught the clash between students and authorities on camera.

No injuries were reported.
