Four suspects, one in Halloween mask, rob Queens jeweler

The four suspects are all being described as Hispanic males.

Police are searching for four men in connection with the armed robbery of an Astoria jewelry store on Halloween night.

Four men, one who wore a frightening mask and carried a gun, entered Virani Jewelers at 74-15 37th Ave. about 6:35 p.m., police said. The masked thief forced a female employee into a back office and ordered her to empty a safe. Two other suspects removed jewelry from a display case while the fourth suspect guarded the door.

The robbers got away with an undetermined amount of necklaces, rings and rope chains.

Police released surveillance photos of the suspects. They are all being described as Hispanic males.

Anyone with information in regards to this robbery is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
