Last night it was Mitt Romney’s turn to slow jam the news on Fallon

In a fit of bipartisanship, Jimmy Fallon last night on NBC’s “Late Night” turned the duties of slow jamming of the news — traditionally a job given to President Barack Obama — over to his two-time arch-rival Mitt Romney.

Romney hectored the president over some of his bigger failures, including the NSA controversy and the various problems plaguing the Obamacare website.

But Romney didn’t escape unscathed. When he averred that he was behind whatever Republican presidential nominee succeeds him in 2016, Fallon cooed, “Don’t you mean 47 percent?”

“That’s a low blow, but it was pretty funny,” Romney responded.

Romney seemed to disappear off the face of the planet after his second failed presidential run in 2012, but has been cropping up everywhere in the last two weeks. The documentary “Mitt,” which covers both campaigns, played the Sundance Film Festival and is now available on Netflix Instant, if you’re into that kind of thing.

Romney also went viral when a picture of him hanging on an airplane with actor/filmmaker Zach Braff hit Twitter.
