Police want to talk to a man in connection with a string of armed livery cab robberies in Queens.

The suspect struck once in October and three times in January, according to police.

The most recent incident occurred shortly after 6 a.m. on Jan. 24. The 43-year-old driver was dispatched to the vicinity of 27-40 Ericsson St. in East Elmhurst, police said. The suspect asked the driver to open the trunk to distract him. He then displayed a firearm and demanded property. The victim did not comply.

A similar incident occurred in the same area on Jan. 21. In that robbery, the victim complied and the suspect fled with property.

On Jan. 8, two suspects tried to rob a driver in the vicinity of 1716 Stephen St. One suspect asked the driver to open the trunk while the other displayed a firearm and demanded property. The victim was struck in the face when he did not comply, police said. He sustained minor injuries.

Police released surveillance video of the man being sought for questioning. He is seen in the video using a credit card stolen from the Jan. 21 incident.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
