Philly-based Comcast to buy Time Warner Cable: reports
Philadelphia-based Comcast Corp. reportedly will announce Thursday that it has reached agreement to purchase Time Warner Cable.
The all-stock deal, which will combine the nation’s two largest cable TV companies, is worth more than $45 billion, according to reports.
Comcast announced in January that it will build a 59-story skyscraper in Philadelphia. It will be the tallest building in the U.S. outside of Chicago and New York.
The new Comcast building is slated to open in late 2017.
The Federal Communications Commission will review the deal.
