Kim Ramsey: New Jersey woman suffers from spontaneous orgasms
Kim Ramsey of Montclair, N.J., doesn’t have any problem reaching the “Big O” — and that’s the problem.
Ramsey suffers from a rare condition that causes her to endure multiple orgasms at any given time — sometimes up to 100 per day. According to her, the slightest movement could set off a string of orgasms that leave her in “excruciating” pain.
“Other women wonder how to have an orgasm — I wonder how to stop mine,” Ramsey told The Sun.
Her condition, known as Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder, was apparently caused by cysts she developed on her spine after she fell down a flight of stairs 10 years ago.
The condition first emerged in 2008 when Ramsey had orgasms for four days straight after having sex with a new boyfriend.
“I even tried sitting on frozen peas,” she said.
Ramsey said her disorder affects her daily life, as she can’t predict what something will set off a string of uncontrollable orgasms. It’s even happened to her in public.
“I was traveling home on the train, and it was a bit of a bumpy ride,” she told the Daily Mail. “Every jerk of the train or vibration made me more aroused, and it was a 40-minute journey so there was nothing I could do. I just had to bite my lip and sit on my hands and hope no one noticed.”
Ramsey plans to see a London-based expert who specializes in treating Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder.
“Both women and men just don’t seem to get it — they seem to think it’s a great thing and, believe me, it’s really not,” she said.
