In a real-life “Catch Me If You Can” situation, a 13-year-old Chinese girl spent several days in an airport posing as a flight attendant. Teenager Luo Siqi dressed as a flight attendant and wandered around Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, China’s second busiest airport, for several days on at least two different occasions in August.

Airport authorities can’t seem to keep the girl away from the airport. She told police, “I am truly in love with the sky. Let me go to the airport,” according to the South China Morning Post (SCMP) and the New Express Daily. Police caught her once in early August, only to catch her again a few weeks later.

The girl managed to skirt authorities for a while by wearing a China Southern Airlines flight attendant uniform and carrying around official papers from the airline. She purchased four uniforms online, according to SCMP. Such uniforms are available on Taobao, China’s person-to-person e-tailer that is fairly unregulated.

Unfortunately, Luo has an unhappy back-story. The Global Times reported that she is an orphan whose foster parents could no longer take care of her; they sent her to a relative and she ran away to Guangzhou, one of China’s biggest cities. She was returned to her relative after the first arrest, but she ran away again and came back to the airport.
