Trooper’s badge stolen

Police are asking the public’s help to identify a man who broke in to a Quincy YMCA and stole a State Police trooper’s badge.
The man entered the Quincy YMCA on Halloween through a staircase that was left unlocked and meant only for employees to use.
He avoided the front desk and broke in to two lockers and stole various items including the trooper’s badge, police identification card and license to carry a firearm.
The man was caught on surveillance tape. Police described him as a white man in his late 20s or early 30s and about 5 feet 8 inches tall.
