Two men from Puerto Rico were nabbed at Logan Airport Wednesday night after a State Police dog sniffed out four kilos of cocaine in their suitcases as they arrived in Boston.

According to police reports, Adam Miranda, 18, and Luis Robles, 24, both of San Juan, were arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine over 200 grams and conspiracy to violate narcotics laws.

Around 7:15 p.m., members of the Logan Airport Task Force, which consists of state troopers and agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration and Immigration and Customs Enforcement, approached the two men, who were traveling together on a San Juan to Boston flight.

According to police, “Rocky,” a State Police K-9, was positively alerted to two of the suspect’s suitcases after an initial interview with officers revealed “details of their travel were not credible.”

After getting written consent from both Miranda and Robles, police searched the suspects’ luggage.
According to reports, police discovered four kilos of a “white substance” believed to be cocaine.

Both men were arrested and held overnight.

They were scheduled for arraignment in the East Boston District Court Thursday.
