Blogger, Cassidy Quinn Brettler, is heading to the Super Bowl
Cassidy Quinn Brettler is no stranger to being on camera, so she isn’t nervous about reporting from behind the scenes at the Super Bowl.
The energetic Boston video blogger and Emerson grad beat out hundreds of contestants in a national competition for a chance to spend a week in Indianapolis covering everything football.
“I’m really pumped!” she said. “I can’t wait.”
Besides getting a goodie-bag full of new gadgets, the Motorola-sponsored contest will put the self-proclaimed social media diva on screen, reporting for OCNN — the Ochocinco News Network.
Since Brettler has already interviewed the Patriots wide receiver — after he had dinner with an Emerson social media class in December — she wasn’t too disappointed he wouldn’t be with her to cover the game. She’s just ecstatic he’ll be a part of it.
“It totally adds more excitement since the Patriots are playing,” she said.
Brettler will be tasked with rubbing elbows with celebs on the red carpet pre-Super Bowl while also making frequent posts and conducting interviews for Motorola’s social media campaign.
Brettler said she watched eight hours of straight football last week to get prepared for reporting. “I needed to brush up on my stuff,” said Brettler.
“It’s not going to be your average reporting, though,” she said. “It seems like it’ll be more fun.”
Right on schedule
Brettler will be running around Indianapolis prior to the big game:
Tuesday: Brettler will attend a Super Bowl Media Day with Bucs DT Gerald McCoy, and soon-to-be-announced Ochocinco replacement to interview players.
Wednesday: Brettler will visit the social media command center and shoot pretaped segments around the city.
Thursday and Friday: Brettler will hit the red carpet at the EA Sports party.
Sunday: It’s game time. Brettler will enjoy her all-expense paid trip to the Super Bowl with a friend.
