Officials continue to investigate T bus crash

A MBTA bus crashed into a film truck, injuring 15 people.

No action has been taken against the driver of a Route 28 bus that crashed into a movie production truck parked in Roxbury at 9:34 a.m. Monday, according to MBTA Joe Pesaturo.

“She was not suspended,” Pesaturo said following a false news report that the driver had been taken off duty while officials investigated the cause of the crash.

The 33-year-old female driver has not yet been identified, but was among 15 people taken to the hospital with injuries, according to MBTA police.

Police say the bus came around a corner on Warren Street in Dudley Square and slammed into the truck, which is in Boston for the filming of Sandra Bullock’s new movie “The Heat,” which was parked near the MBTA bus stop.

Investigators are looking at surveillance video, and looking into possible mechanical or medical issues that could have caused the crash.

“It’s still being investigated by our detectives and accident reconstruction experts, but we don’t expect to have a conclusion for a few days,” said MBTA Superintendent-in-Chief Joseph O’Connor Tuesday.
