Drink Craft Beer will hold a spring beer festival in April.

Local beer club Drink Craft Beer is gearing up for its third seasonal beer festival, which promises more than 75 New England beers that put a spotlight on hops.

“Springfest: A Celebration of Hops,” is set to happen in April at Space 57 at the Revere Boston Hotel.

Drink Craft Beer’s “Fall to Winter Fest” attracted 1,500 people to Space 57 in Boston in December, and followed the summer’s sold out “Summerfest: A Celebration of Farmhouse Ale” in Somerville, which drew 1,200 attendees.

Springfest will have 3 sessions, a VIP session on Friday night with 450 attendees and two sessions on Saturday, each with 550 attendees for a total of 1,550 attendees over the course of the weekend. According to organizers, the festival will celebrate the most popular ingredient in craft beer – hops – by bringing together 25 New England craft brewers and cider makers, each bringing at least one beer that features the delicious little flower .

Attendees will have three sessions to choose from, with tickets on sale for:

Hoppy Hour VIP Session: Friday, April 5 / 6 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
Session 2: Saturday, April 6 / 1 p.m. – 4:30p.m.
Session 3: Saturday, April 6 / 6 p.m.- 9:30 p.m.

The Hoppy Hour VIP Session will include an additional beer from each brewer – either a new beer or a special treatment of an existing beer.

“There are a few things that make Drink Craft Beer fests different. One is that our events focus on more than just beer, but providing a great experience for craft beer lovers and the craft beer curious alike,” said Jeff Wharton, co-founder of Drink Craft Beer. “They’re meant to be fun while helping attendees learn about beer and the great local brewers in our area.”

Ten percent of profits go toward the brewers, Wharton said.

Drink Craft Beer is also collaborating on a beer with Framingham-based brewers Jack’s Abby to brew a special beer to be released at Springfest -”The ABCs,” a Double India Pale Lager. Straight from Jack’s Abby, The ABCs is “brewed with Apollo, Bravo, Calypso, and Simcoe hops. Intensely hoppy utilizing kettle, hopback and dry hop additions.

“A true celebration of hops,” Wharton said.
