UPDATED: Police probe sudden deaths at Roslindale complex

Police are trying to determine what caused the death of two men and the life-threatening illness of a woman who were found inside a Roslindale apartment building.
Officers were first called to Roslyn Apartments on at 1 Cliffmont St., just before 11 a.m. Wednesday for a man in cardiac arrest. The man, who was in his 60s, was pronounced dead on scene. There were no visible injuries to the man.
Police were called back to the building at 5:30 a.m. Thursday and found another man who died. Officers found him lying in the hallway of the first floor, police said. He was also pronounced dead at the scene.
About four hours later police responded again to the building for a woman suffering from unknown life-threatening injuries. She was taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

A fire department spokesman said that a hazardous materials technician was called to the building Thursday morning at the request of police. An investigator in a full-body tan hazardous materials suit could be seen entering and leaving the building Thursday afternoon.
Authorities released few details about the incidents, other than that detectives are investigating “sudden deaths.”
Boston police Superintendent-in-Chief Dan Linskey said that detectives are investigating whether the three consumed something that led to their deaths, according to WCVB.
Police did not identify the victims Thursday.
Roslyn Apartments consists of 119 one- and two-bedroom apartments, according to the Boston Housing Authority website.
“Roslyn is a warm, welcoming community that offers a variety of living arrangements for low- and moderate-income elderly and disabled persons,” according to the authority’s website.
