A body that washed ashore in Breezy Point on Saturday has been identified as a Queens woman who has been missing since December.

Marisha Cheong, 24, had been missing since Dec. 19. Police found her decomposing body washed ashore near 149 Bayside Ave. in Breezy Point Saturday morning.

Cheong was last seen Dec. 19 in her Jamaica apartment that she shared with her boyfriend, Eyewitness News reports. That boyfriend, 26-year-old Latchman Balkaran, has now been taken in for questioning.

Police said on Saturday that the body had no obvious signs of trauma. Authorities now say that her hands and feet were tied. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
