Cops: Man pulls fire alarm, is arrested for trespassing
A Boston man who police said was reeking of alcohol was arrested for allegedly pulling the fire alarm inside an assisted living residence in the Fenway, scaring residents inside.
Officers responded to Peterborough Street building just before 3 p.m. Sunday for a report of a fire alarm activation and an intruder. When they got there they were met by fire crews and multiple elderly and special needs residents of the building who were standing in their doorways.
Witnesses told police that they found a nonresident homeless man inside the second floor garbage room and he pushed their way past them. He then pulled the fire alarm, police said.
When police questioned the man, Roy Tucker, 55, he said he was let in by a friend, but didn’t know his apartment number or name.
Police charged Tucker with trespassing, pulling a fire alarm and disturbing the peace.
