Miss Delaware Teen USA Melissa King officially gave up her crown today after a hardcore pornography video starring a woman who closely resembles the 18-year-old surfaced on the internet.

“I would like to confirm the Miss Delaware Teen USA pageant has received a resignation letter from Miss King’s attorney,” a pageant spokeswoman said in a statement. She declined to elaborate.

A copy of the video, which was reportedly shot last June, surfaced on a porn site Monday. Though King has previously denied the allegations, she posted a message on her Facebook profile the day after the video was uploaded.

“A year ago almost, I turned 18,” King wrote. “I’m about to turn 19 and so much has changed for the better in my life in the past year… Nothing can bring me down:)”
