Massachusetts State Police and federal agents arrested two Puerto Rican men and seized a suitcase full of cocaine at Logan International Airport.

State Police spokesman Dave Procopio said Naxel Miranda-Diaz, 20, and Edwin Rosario, 28, were taken into custody Wednesday when they arrived on a flight from San Juan.

The suspects allegedly carried more 10 kilograms of cocaine with them. Another 12 kilos were seized in Puerto Rico, for a total street value of more than $1 million.

Miranda-Diaz and Rosario faces charges of trafficking in a Class B substance over 200 grams. They were held on $250,00 bail each until their arraignment in East Boston District Court.

Procopio said the suspects were believed to be part of an organized effort to smuggle drugs from Puerto Rico to New England. Agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration, Department of Homeland Security, and Transportation Security Administration took part in the investigation.
