New York man struck, killed by MBTA train
A 25-year-old New York man was killed yesterday when he allegedly trespassed on the Red Line tracks at South station, according to Transit Police.
The man, who was not identified, was killed around 12:30 a.m. when he “walked into the pit area and was struck by an inbound Red Line train,” police said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
