One man dead, another injured in Dorchester shooting

A shooting at an intersection in Dorchester has left one man dead and another with serious injuries, according to the Boston Police Department.

Shots were reported around 6:30 p.m. Saturday night on Columbia Road between Washington and Hancock Streets, where two men were found lying in the street with gunshot wounds, according to police.

A man in his mid-20s died at the scene. The other man was taken to Boston Medical Center with gunshot wounds to his chest and arm.

No further information has been released, but police said they are investigating.
