A new Jimmy Fund contest is looking for ideas on how to raise $100,000 each year in the name of cancer research and patient care.

The Jimmy Fund Big Ideas Contest, which runs through April 21, is offering a week-long vacation and other prizes for the best fundraising idea.

A spokeswoman for the contest said ideas should be creative and sustainable, and capable of raising $100,000 or more each year.

Ideas can be an event, an app, a product, a corporate promotion, or something new on social media. Individuals or teams of up to four people can participate, all vying to be one of five finalists to present their idea at a Jimmy Fund Big Ideas judging event in June.

The judging panel will consist of some of CEOs and business leaders.

The winner will get a seven-night Caribbean vacation, Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots experience packages. The four finalists will take home the sports tickets as well as $2,000 worth of gift cards.
Details are available at Jimmyfund.org. as well as Kintera.org.
