MBTA: Person trapped under Orange Line at State Street Station

A person who transit officials described as a trespasser is trapped under an Orange Line train on the northbound tracks at State Street Station.

The victim, who has not been identified, is conscious, Jennifer Mehigan, a spokeswoman for Boston Emergency Medical Services told the Boston Globe.

The person became trapped just after 2 p.m., according to MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo.

Orange Line service has been shut down between Back Bay and North Station.
