Violent night leaves four stabbed in Dorchester

police tape

Boston police say four people were injured in three separate stabbing incidents Saturday night in Dorchester.

All of the crimes took place within 90 minutes of each other, but they are not believed to be connected, according to a police spokesman.

The first was reported around 9:30 p.m. near Dorchester Avenue and Dracut Street. A 19-year-old told officers he was assaulted and robbed by two suspects, who took his military discharge papers. The victim was taken to Boston Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Less than an hour later, a man was stabbed several times on Dorchester Avenue near the Ashmont MBTA station. The victim, who was unable to describe his attacker, was also treated at BMC.

Around 10:50 p.m., two men in their late teens were discovered with stab wounds on Columbia Avenue. One was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries; the other was less seriously hurt and treated at BMC.

Boston police are investigating these incidents and asking the public for information. Callers who wish to remain anonymous can call the Crime Stoppers tip line at (800) 494-TIPS or text the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463).
