Five young Philadelphia hockey players visited the White House on Tuesday as part of Michelle Obama’s program encouraging young people to get more exercise.

The five, a mix of boys and girls from the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation, watched a presentation from President Barack Obama and took part in a Let’s Move! Q&A session at the White House along with members of the 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings. The Kings, as well as members of Major League Soccer’s 2012 World Champion LA Galaxy, visited and received congratulations from Obama.

“My favorite part of today was hearing the president speak — it was wonderful,” said 10-year-old Tyreese Walker, according to a news release.

The children were sent to the White House as a reward for outstanding performance on the ice and in the classroom.

The Let’s Move! campaign, which was created by the first lady, encourages young people to get more exercise to improve the odds of long-term health.

The five students:

Eliot Barr, 11, of Simons Ice Rink

Emani DiCriscio, 8, also of Simons Ice Rink

Jasmine Masino, 10, of Tarken Ice RInk

Tyreese Walker, 10, of Laura Sims Skatehouse

Parker Chisholm, 10, of Simons Ice Rink
