Services will be held around Boston today to pray for the victims of last week’s Marathon bombing, including one service that will take place just blocks from the blast site.

A group of leaders from Back Bay churches including the Church of the Covenant and the Old South Church will lead members in a service at the corner of Boylston and Berkeley streets at 12:30 p.m.

“We will pray. We will sing. We will bless. We will be together,” the Old South Church said on its web site.

Boston’s Cardinal Sean O’Malley will also preside over a service at 11:30 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in the South End for the “repose of the souls of those who have died as a result of the recent bombings.” O’Malley will also lead a prayer for those who were injured and for the men and women who saved countless lives as first responders, according to the Archdiocese of Boston.

Later today a wake will be held in Medford for 29-year-old Krystle Campbell, one of the three people killed in the Marathon bombing.
