Police arrested alleged 10-year-old gunman shown in viral video
Police on Monday arrested three juvenile suspects – aged 10, 13 and 14 – for allegedly assaulting a 27-year-old man in Tioga on April 22.
Parts of the crime – including a clip of what appeared to be a 10-year-old boy pointing a gun at a woman, then handing it off to an older male – were caught on surveillance camera in a video that went viral last week.
Authorities said the group of kids went on to point the gun at a man as he walked on the 3300 block of North 16th Street.
The man fled and called 911.
Prosecutors today said the gun used in the crimes has been determined to be a replica.
Investigators last Thursday morning found a black plastic UKARMS BB gun on the 3100 block of North Broad Street that they say strongly resembles an actual firearm.
The three suspects are charged with harassment, disorderly conduct, possession of an instrument of a crime and conspiracy.
They are all scheduled for a detention hearing Wednesday afternoon at the Juvenile Justice Services Center.
