Drexel Hill man goes for drink, leaves baby in car
A Drexel Hill man is in trouble with the law after he allegedly left his infant son in the car while he went for a drink at an Upper Darby bar.
James A. Lovett, 33, of Township Line Road, faces child endangerment charges after he allegedly left his 10-month-old baby alone in an unlocked, idling car outside Gambol’s Bar about 8 p.m. April 19, the Delaware County Times reports.
Lovett was arraigned Tuesday on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and leaving a child unattended in a motor vehicle. He is free on $20,000 unsecured bail pending a May 23 court date.
Lovett told a police officer called to the Garrett Road bar on April 19 that he was only inside long enough to consume half a beer, the paper reports.
