Lawrence spa owner busted for prostitution
A Salem, N.H. woman is serious trouble for running a house of prostitution out of her Lawrence day spa.
According to the Eagle-Tribune, Police received information last Wednesday that Lori Barron, owner of “The Day Spa for Gentlemen,” oversaw employees and clients that “were engaging in more than just massage,” police Chief John Romero said.
Barron also allegedly videotaped and photographed clients without their knowing.
She is scheduled for arraignment today in Lawrence District Court on six felony counts, including maintaining a house of prostitution, deriving support from prostitution, unlawful wiretapping, extortion and photographing unsuspecting nude persons, police told the Eagle-Tribune.
This isn’t the first brush with the law for Barron. In May 2011, she was convicted of felony and misdemeanor prostitution when her Salem, N.H. business, ETEA Weight Loss Spa, was also busted for providing illegal massages. The investigation was referred to as “Operation Bunny Ranch.”
