Brooklyn Councilman David Greenfield is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for leaving anti-semitic “hateful graffiti” was apparently found on the front door of Community Board 12′s district office in Boro Park.

According to a source, the graffiti, written in black marker on the front door, said “Jewish pigs.” Community Board 12 serves a predominantly Jewish area. The chairman and district manager are both Orthodox Jews, as is Greenfield.

“Once again our community finds itself targeted by a cowardly individual who thinks nothing of spreading vile, hateful rhetoric against the Jewish community,” the councilman said. “I hope that this reward motivates anyone with information to come forward and help bring this person to justice as soon as possible.”

Greenfield said the NYPD believes the graffiti was left over the weekend, sometime between when the office closed Friday night and when it was discovered by a staffer Monday morning.

Anyone with information about this incident can contact the NYPD at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
